AVINGER CEMETERY
AVINGER, CASS COUNTY, TEXAS
Cemetery was read 25-APR-1995 by Audrey Rankin.
Located behind the Avinger United Methodist Church on Church St..
There are two memorial plaques, one on each side of the big gate.
The one on the left reads: "In Memoriam Paul DeWitt Conner, 1916-
1985." The on on the right reads: "In loving memory of my Husband
and in appreciation of the people of Avinger, Texas. 1986. Ruth
Patton Conner."
This cemetery is in two sections, with a paved road running
through. The fence is not square, and the rows run at an angle
with the fence in places.
This cemetery is known to be predominantly white.
The earliest known marked grave:
RHYNE Alice C. 22-FEB-1858 13-NOV-1877
