CONCORD COMMUNITY
NEAR ANTIOCH CHURCH, CASSCOUNTY TEXAS

LOCATION: From intersection of Hwy 8 & Hwy 11 in Linden, take Hwy 11
west, ge 6.7 miles to CR 1463, turn right (north) onto CR 1463 for
.9 mile. Cemetery is on left side of CR 1463. This cemetery is
fenced with a sign. It is behind a large fenced area that is the new
part of the cemetery. Only one grave is in the center of this
section.

This cemetery is known to be predominantly white.
"Lost Corner" was the name for the Concord Community. Because of a
Lack of a church or school, the community must have orignated
before 1840. People were buried- in the cemetery around that time
Two slaves were buried in the cemetery as was Mrs. Elizabeth Kesler,
in 1858.
The Rhyne family gave the land for the cemetery, first school, and
church. This information furnished by J. F. Rey, Jr..
