FARMER-KIRKLAND-DUKE FAMILY CEMETERY
FORREST HILL COMMUNITY
DOUGLASSVILLE, CASS COUNTY, TEXAS
LOCATION: Take Hwy 2791 west, off Hwy 59 at Queen City, go approx.
8.4 miles until you come to crossroads, take a right on CR 2116,
go approx. 1.8 miles, at the 2nd mail box past Forrest Hill
Baptist Church turn right. (The mail box has the name Sexton, the
cemetery is behind and to the right of the blue/green house.
Known as the Farmer, Kirkland, Duke Cemetery, as those who are
buried here are all related with the exception of one, that being
the son of W. C. "Sweet Dog" and wife, Clarice Stone. Howard Duke,
Albert Duke, Ouida & Bill Waddill & family members collected money
from family & relatives and cleaned off the area and put a fence
around the cemetery, which is about 69* X 75'. .
The cemetery is on land originally owned by John Farmer, who
deeded the land to their children. They sold to Jim Stone. The
land where the cemetery is located now belongs to W. C. & Clarice
Stone's daughter. (She lives there)

Cemetery was read 15-APR-1995 by Kenneth & M. Kathryn BURKHALTER
McAlexander. It was read north to south beginning in the NW corner
This cemetery is known to be predominantly white
The oldest known grave: ROW 2
DUKE James P. 13-DEC-1881 18-DEC-1881
