LANIER-FRIENDSHIP CEMETERY
NEAR LINDEN, CASS COUNTY, TEXAS
Cemetery was read 05-JUL-1995 by Melba Tims, Irene Powell, Kenneth
& Kathryn McAlexander.
This cemetery is known to be predominantly white.
LOCATION:
From red light in Linden, go 4.8 miles on Hwy 59 south to Cemetery
& Church on the left. Cemetery is read from the north to the south.
On the 16th of July, 1888, J. M. Lockett donated lend containing 2
acres or more being a part of the K. A. Welbourn and the A. D.
Duncan Surveys. It is to be held in trust for the Friendship
Baptist Church. The cemetery joins the church property, but since
the oldest grave is 1872, the cemetery land may not be part of the
2 acres.

Ross Smith, T. B. Randolph, G. C. Ivens, J. Hubert Boyd,
J. S. Taylor, C. D. Fant, J. N. Cornelius, Gorden Pruitt
The oldest known grave:
CROMER J. W. 27-NOV-1870 14-JUL-1872
